Clare and Her Sisters

By (author): Madeline Pecora Nugent SFO
SKU/EAN: 15616
ISBN: 9780819815613
Publisher: Pauline Books & Media
Format: Paperback / softback

Inspired by St. Francis and his ideal of holy poverty, Clare left everything to follow Christ—despite conflict with her family and an uncertain future. Her small group of followers took root, eventually forming a new foundation called the Poor Clares that flowered throughout the world. This compelling biography is based upon extensive research, time spent in Assisi, and interviews with Franciscan experts. On this solid foundation, Clare’s story is built through vignettes of historical and fictional characters, creating an authentic biography with novelistic appeal.
